Coconut Dark Hot Chocolate

Rich and vibrate 65% Dark Chocolate meets the tropical sweetness of coconut in this bountiful plant-based take on a confectionary classic. Smooth, steamed coconut milk brings creaminess and depth, while a light, fluffy cold foam topping adds indulgent flair. Finished with a sprinkle of toasted coconut and a dusting of cocoa, this recipe delivers the perfect balance of comfort, escapism and nutrition.

  • For the hot chocolate:

    • 20g 65% Chocolate  

    • 20ml Freshly Boiled Water  

    • 140ml Coconut Milk  

    • 1 Tsp Coconut Syrup (optional)

    For the coconut cold foam (50ml):

    • 30ml Coconut Milk (From a can) 

    • 15ml Coconut Milk (Drinking milk)  

    Optional extras:

    • Toasted Desiccated Coconut  

    • Hot Chocolate Powder  

    • Heat-proof cup or mug

    • Hand held or electrical whisk

  • Hot Chocolate Method: 

    • Make your hot chocolate by mixing the chocolate and hot water together to a smooth paste.

    • Add the milk and heat/steam together until hot.

    • Add your coconut syrup if using and then serve topped with freshly whipped cold foam, toasted desiccated coconut and cocoa powder.  

    Cold Foam Method:  

    • Combine the milks and whisk either by hand or with a handheld whisk until foamy and thick.

    • Use straight away.
